Phoenix - Vol. 2: Eternal Recurrence

ETERNAL RECURRENCE is the second of three volumes compiling the anime series PHOENIX, based on the manga by Osamu Tezuka. The show's main theme is reincarnation and each episode involves a search for eternal life, symbolized by the blood of the bird of fire. The action is set in both the past and future of the Tezuka star system, where events recur again and again.
