Christopher Cain directs country music star George Straight in the drama Pure Country, which comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. Some special features concerning the film's music would have been appreciated, but the film's fans will appreciate the fine sound and picture on this Warner Brothers disc.
