Seven volumes on, Rebirth of Cool keeps diversifying and keeps on getting better. From the jazz spectrum come tracks by Roni Size, Ian O'Brien and Spacer (though both are justifiably varied); Latin makes a comeback with Kerri Chandler and Joe Clausell; and other tracks nod at hip-hop, house, soul and techno. Though many compilation series grow weaker with each passing volume, Rebirth of Cool shows no sign of a let-up. ~ John Bush
