This biopic about the renowned Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, shows facets of her life as an internationally-acclaimed R&B singer. The story follows her journey from her childhood days of singing in her father's church until she grows up and dabbles in music, eventually meeting her first husband, songwriter and manager Ted White until she encounters the challenges and trappings of fame and fortune.
