Richard Wagner: Das Rheingold [Video]

Richard Wagner's 1869 +Das Rheingold - the prologue to his vibrant opera cycle +Der Ring des Nibelungen - received a new interpretation in 2008 as part of this three-day festival performance - a co-production of the Staatstheater Thüringen, the Staatskapelle Weimar and the Deutsches Nationaltheater. It stars Mario Hoff as Wotan, Alexander Günther as Donner, Jean-Noël Briend as Froh and Erin Caves as Loge; Carl St. Clair conducts for the stage while Michael Schulz handles stage direction.
