Once relegated to the status of wannabe rappers that fans loved to hate (as frequent guest appearances on Howard Stern's radio show would indicate), Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J have slowly built a juggernaut (or would that be "juggalo-naut") of a music and merchandising empire around the Insane Clown Posse brand and mystique. RIDDLE BOX (1995) was the third installment of ICP's Dark Carnival concept, and features a jack-in-the-box creature that decides the fate of mortal souls. Though the album showcases the early stages of the ICP's horro-rap/metal sound, it shows that the group's conceptual elements were fully formed from day one.
