Iconic roots label Rounder Records appropriately celebrated its 40th anniversary with a concert featuring some of its biggest success stories. Recorded on October 12, 2009 at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry House and filmed for a PBS television special, Rounder Records' 40th Anniversary Concert was hosted by actress/musician Minnie Driver, and featured standout performances from Béla Fleck, Irma Thomas, Alison Krauss (with Union Station and Robert Plant), Mary Chapin Carpenter, Jerry Douglas, and banjo player (and occasional actor/Oscar host/comedy legend) Steve Martin. ~ James Christopher Monger
