In this stylish Italian crime thriller, Valerio Mastandrea plays Remo, a policeman who has turned his back on justice and joined a band of thieves. Remo works his way from simple street theft to major break-ins, encountering victims who are no less morally confused than himself. L'Odore della notte (aka The Scent of the Night) was shown at both the 1998 Venice Film Festival and the 1999 Rotterdam Film Festival.
