Recorded live in New York City in November of 1971, this captures McDowell accompanied by Tom Pomposello on bass guitar. McDowell is in top form, blasting out electric versions of "John Henry," "Baby, Please Don't Go," and the title track. It sounds as if Pomposello is playing second guitar on some tracks rather than bass, but his playing never intrudes, and he actually provides a nice second slide part on "Shake 'Em On Down." A nice document of Fred in concert at the peak of his rediscovery. ~ Cub Koda
