This album of remixes sees the accomplished Parisian trio follow its acclaimed Popular Frequencies debut with an album that brings together cuts from the group's early extended players, which were released to critical acclaim on the Kung-Fu Fighting imprint in the late '90s. If this collection of hard to find cuts weren't tasty enough, Vincent Tarriere, Nicolas Druel, and Laurent Bidou have brought in an array of heavyweight remixers to offer their own takes. As with their aforementioned long-player, the material on offer is a heady mix of hip-hop street knowledge flecked with the European soul and jazz more often associated with Compost or JCR, with the original cuts sounding as fresh as ever while the new jacks range from the ebb and flow of Di Maggio's piano in his take on "Barcelone" to DJ Cam's version, which chooses to loop the guitar and lay down a set of elephant-sized jeep beats.
