Slumdog Millionaire [T-Series]

The soundtrack to the Oscar-winning movie Slumdog Millionaire will probably be best remembered because of it's lead single "Jai Ho," an A.R. Rahman track that gained popularity thanks to a collaboration with the Pussycat Dolls and lead singer Nicole Scherzinger. "Jai Ho," and the soundtrack as a whole, was a critical and commercial success, earning two Grammy's and reaching number one on the Billboard charts. This was not an undeserving feat: the album's reflection of a close collaboration between lead producer Rahman and M.I.A, who contributes both her music and her lyrics to the album, represents a dynamic soundtrack to complement one of the most intense and passionate movies that graced the silver screen in 2008. ~ Matthew Chisling
