Subhuman

Former Depeche Mode member Alan Wilder's project, Recoil, has often taken adventurous side roads into highly experimental waters, offering scant evidence of the catchy synth-pop of his former band. After a near six-year hiatus, Wilder resurrected his solo music vehicle with SUBHUMAN, a dark album of futuristic blues and moody soundtracks. Enlisting the vocal talents of bluesman Joe Richardson, as well as the ethereal glossolalia of Carla Trevakis, the album is sublime piece of modern day roots music.
