Sweetheart of the Sun

The second album to spring from the Bangles' 21st century reunion, Sweetheart of the Sun finds the band working without Michael Steele, who left the lineup soon after Doll Revolution's 2003 release and is replaced here by Derrick Anderson. The lineup may be different, but the band's sound is the same, with Susanna Hoffs and the Petersen sisters continuing to harmonize their way through a mix of power pop, adult contemporary, and sun-kissed rock & roll. ~ Andrew Leahey
