Taste of Whale

A Taste of Whale is a documentary on an annual whale hunt in the Faroe Islands. The film examines the practice known as "Grindadrap" from the perspective of proponents and opponents of the practice. Natives see it as a part of their cultural tradition that should continue, while animal rights activists see it as a brutal practice that should be outlawed. Both sides are given their due, and a comparison is made to regular slaughterhouse activities to invoke even more thought on the subject.
