Almost 50 minutes of songs and snippets from the hugely popular PBS-TV series aimed at preschoolers. Tinky-Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and Po are household names for the under-five set, and this CD will show you why. The music is kids' stuff (obviously), but it's also a little weird (like the show); some of the songs sort of sound like '70s Brit prog rock ("Ships"), others sound like '60s Brit whimsical psychedelia ("Puddle Dance"), and there are several sort of New Age-y instrumentals where the TT's can be heard in the background making incomprehensible noises. Hey--kids love this stuff (and don't worry--no matter what you've heard, Tinky-Winky isn't gay).
