EMI Gold's Stranglers Collection is a bit of a misnomer, as the 18 tracks that are contained therein are all B-sides and rarities. Culled from the group's popular Liberty years (1977-1982), there is some great stuff here ("Walk on By," "Old Codger," "Cruel Garden," "Get a Grip on Yourself"), but for casual fans just looking for something with "No More Heroes," "Peaches," or "Dead Ringer" on it, Liberty's Collection 1977-1982 would probably be a safer bet, as this Collection (as far as a "greatest hits" are concerned) is a bust. ~ James Christopher Monger
