This 25-track double-disc set is a hodgepodge of Brian Auger recordings between 1965 and 1969, all recorded by Giorgio Gomelsky. Disc one obviously contains his first solo single, the title track b/w "Oh, Baby Come Back to Croydon, Where Everybody Beedle's and Bo's," followed by four Trinity cuts pre-Julie Driscoll. The remainder of disc one contains eight tracks cut with Sonny Boy Williamson and Jimmy Page, with British jazzmen Joe Harriott and Alan Skidmore as the horn section. Disc two contains early mod tracks with Trinity and Driscoll before going back to her earlier solo singles and the Steampacket catalog with her, Rod Stewart, and Long John Baldry. Everything here has been issued so many times before in numerous packages and compilations that it hardly seems worth recommending -- unless, of course, you're so interested in Auger you need to have everything with his name on it. ~ Thom Jurek
