In the early 1970s, the Angolan War of Independence draws near its end, and the descendants of Portuguese settlers embark on an exodus from the war-torn colony. Within this scenario, love between a native girl and a Portuguese soldier blooms. Meanwhile, Portuguese soldiers find themselves trapped and waiting to escape their ongoing agony.
