The film details how this eccentric, unusual man - a dwarf, with a penchant for hedonism - spun his taste and desire for excess, with the habitués of Parisian brothels and cabarets, into artistic excellence. The film combines elements including excerpts from John Huston's Moulin Rouge, archival footage of the original locations that Toulouse-Lautrec frequented, and a trip to a Lautrec exhibition in London, with interviews featuring art historians, critics, collectors and artists.
