Traveling Miles [DVD Audio]

Jazz vocalist Cassandra Wilson is known for her covers of both standards and newer hits, but has also sung original material. TRAVELING MILES was conceived as her tribute album to the great Miles Davis, and features versions of songs that Davis either wrote or made famous, such as "Run the Voodoo Down." It also contains a few other covers, including Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time." Many of these tracks find Wilson collaborating with other well-known jazz musicians like Steve Coleman, Regina Carter, and others. Cassandra Wilson's deep and distinctive vocals bring a new flavor to the work of Miles Davis on TRAVELING MILES.
