Viking

A luckless sailor is coerced by a woman he fancies into going on a seal-hunting expedition to the Arctic, where he encounters problems with the elements and another shipmate who is also in love with the woman. The production is noteworthy as Canada's first talking motion picture and for an explosion that sank the ship carrying the film crew, killing more than 20, including producer-director Varick Frissell.
