Vincenzo Bellini - Norma (2 Dvd)

Barcelona's famed Gran Teatre del Liceu mounted this lavish 2007 production of Vincenzo Bellini's two-act operatic tragedy +Norma, with a libretto by Felice Romani and adapted from Alexandre Soumet's play. It stars Vincenzo La Scola as Pollione, Andrea Papi as Oroveso and Fiorenza Cedolins as Norma; Francisco Negrín directs for the stage, while the Symphony Orchestra and Chorus of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, under the baton of Giuliano Carella, provide musical accompaniment.
