Personnel: Bob Weston (recorder).
Recording information: Peter Spear's House "The Playground", Lawrence, KS (01/1995); Playground, Lawrence (01/1995).
Photographers: Amanda Wiliams; Scott Hobart.
Arranger: Vitreous Humor.
The Vitreous Humor Self-Titled EP is the only release resembling a cohesive album the group released in its short life span. Vitreous Humor's desperate energy is palpable in these seven songs, which were captured at the band's peak. Dense, complex guitars wend their way around undeniable melodies and vocalist Danny Pound's often frantic wail. Inexplicably lumped in with the "emo" bands of its time, Vitreous Humor proves with this EP that their music and vision were singular and not easily categorized. It's the only truly representative recording of an amazing band. ~ Josh Modell
