We Love You Tecca 2, the second studio album from Queens rapper Lil Tecca, also serves as a sequel to his 2019 debut mixtape We Love You Tecca. In just a few short years since Tecca broke through in a big way with "Ransom" (the uber-hooky single that both kicked off We Love You Tecca and jumpstarted his career), the formula for success hasn't changed much beyond an upgrade in production and even more-expertly constructed songs. We Love You Tecca 2 moves between modes of dreamy, semi-atmospheric trap pop and more amped-up and bass-heavy tracks like the happily bouncing "Never Left" or the fantastical synth-led beat of "Choppa Shoot the Loudest," featuring guest appearances from Trippie Redd and Chief Keef. NAV shows up for the Drake-indebted "About You," Lil Yachty features on "Bank Teller," and Gunna contributes to album standout "Repeat It." "Repeat It" has one of the most adventurous instrumentals on We Love You Tecca 2, with chopped up string samples, vaporous vocal ad-libs, and larger-than-life bass hits that drive the tune's jumpy melodies along.
