This wraps up Frank Zappa's series of two-disc sets chronicling all manner of previously unreleased live recordings from throughout the entirety of his performing career (coming to a total of over twelve hours!). This time out there's actual thematic unity linking the entire proceedings. The theme? Sex, of course. From locker-room jokes to anti-censorship rants, it runs the entire spectrum. "Make A Sex Noise" and "Tracy Is A Snob" even feature some of the female citizens of, respectively, Binghamton, New York and Salt Lake City, Utah, voluntarily coming up on stage and making--you guessed it--sex noises to the accompaniment of the band. If there's a subtext here, it's the joyful coming together of these bands and their audiences. These are performances full of grit and edgy breathlessness as only live-on-stage can be.
